INDOOR AIR CAN BE UP TO 50 TIMES MORE POLLUTED THAN OUTDOOR AIR

Not everyone may know that indoor air can be up to 50 times more polluted than outdoor air, but Niklas Lindblad, warehouse manager at Scandinavian Cosmetics, had previous experience with how dusty and polluted a warehouse can be. Therefore, he began at an early stage of the construction process of their new warehouse to investigate how this problem could be prevented. Niklas contacted property owner Catena who recommended further contact with Camfil to find suitable solutions.

Niklas consulted Camfil, and after site visits to the construction site, Scandinavian Cosmetics and Camfil together started a process around the air environment for the upcoming warehouse. The first thing Niklas said was that the employees‘ work environment is a high priority.

Our employees must feel good and havethe best conditions at the workplace.We also have a robot warehouse withsensitive sensors and technologies thatneed to be protected.

Niklas also emphasized the importance of being able to deliver clean products to customers. Together with Camfil, sources of associations and possible solutions were identified. Major sources that were identified included openings at cargo ports, packaging handling and truck driving. The location of the property, with several large, heavily trafficked roads outside, of course also affected the quality of the indoor air.
