1. What are cookies?

This cookie policy describes how we use cookies, pixels and similar technology, which means that we either store information on your device or that we gather information from your device (“cookies”).

2. Your choices and how you can avoid cookies

You can make choices to avoid the cookies we use.

  • Through your browser settings, you can block certain types of cookies. If you do, your browser will either automatically deny storage of these cookies or inform you each time a server requests to use such cookies.
  • On the Privacy Preferences Center, you can choose not to consent to our use of certain cookies and withdraw your consent at any time.
  • You can check and delete the persistent cookies placed on your browser, after using the website, webshop, app and portal. To help you do this, we have, when possible, listed the names of each cookie on the Privacy Preferences Center or at the bottom of this Cookie Policy here.

3. How to contact Camfil or competent supervisory authorities

Camfil AB, a legal entity incorporated in Sweden with company registration number 556538-8344, is responsible for the use of cookies as described in this cookie policy.

For questions about cookies or if you wish to exercise your rights, contact us by e-mail here or by mail to the Global Data Protection Manager at Camfil AB, Sveavägen 56 E, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden.

If you want to file a complaint regarding our use of cookies, you can contact any supervisory authority. The supervisory authority in Sweden is the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (Post- och telestyrelsen, “PTS”).

4. Your privacy

To protect your privacy, we have taken measures to avoid identifying you when you use the website, webshop, app and portal. For instance, when possible, we only use an encrypted version of your IP address. When we process information that can be connected to you as an individual – directly or indirectly – we will inform you about this in our privacy policy. You will find our privacy policy available here.

5. Third-party cookies and third-party services

We mainly use normal cookies such as so-called "http cookies", but also make use of more advanced technology from third parties as e.g. Google. These third parties will use the information collected for their own purposes. Below, we have identified when this occurs and provided references to where you can find more information about their use of cookies and what information these third parties collect. More detailed information is available on our Privacy Preferences Center.

The use of third-party services means that your personal data, in some cases, is at risk of being transferred outside the EU/EEA. In our privacy policy, we also explain what it means for the information to be transferred outside the EU/EEA.

Cookies will remain on your device for varying periods, depending on the type of cookie. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (so-called “temporary cookies” or “session cookies”), while others remain until they expire or are manually deleted (so-called “persistent cookies”). The usage period for each cookie is listed on the Privacy Preferences Center.

7. Strictly necessary cookies

The website, webshop, app, portal and newsletters use necessary cookies to function. These cookies cannot be switched off as they provide services you have specifically requested, meaning consent is not required. These cookies are typically set only when you take specific actions, such as adjusting privacy preferences, logging in, or completing forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but as a result some parts of the website, webshop, app and portal may not work as intended.

Some of these are technical functionality cookies that do not have a name, i.e. not shown in our Privacy Preferences Center.

To improve our newsletters

To analyse how you interact with our newsletters we use cookies. We collect information about how you use our newsletters, e.g. what you click on. The information is used to modify and improve our newsletters to become better adapted to our receivers.

If you block/delete the above cookies, we will have less data to develop our newsletters.

For the functionality of the website, webshop, app and portal

  • To ensure the website, webshop, app and portal function properly and securely, we use cookies to enable us to keep track of your session and authenticate your device. We accomplish this by using cookies and similar technologies. These cookies create a unique ID for your session to avoid spam and ensure sufficient security by recognizing your device during the visit. If you use our webshop we will use cookie functionality which gathers information about your IP-address to understand from where you are visiting our webshop.
  • To improve and maintain the functionality of our webshop, app and portal, we gather and analyze information about crashes and bugs that you encounter. Through this functionality we can understand which necessary adjustments we need to implement on our webshop, app and portal.
  • To enable you to play a video according to your preferences we use cookies. These cookies gather information about your use of our videos.

To verify that you are not a robot when you visit the webshop we use Google’s tool reCAPTCHA. We do this to make sure that the webshop works securely and is not ruined by robots that autofill fields. To do this Google use information about your IP-address and information about which websites that you have visited before our webshop.

If you block/delete these cookies, the website, webshop, app and portal will not function the way it is intended to.

To remember your choices

  • To remember which country version of the website, webshop, app and portal you prefer, we use cookies that store this information. This enables us to show you the website, webshop, app and portal in the language that you have chosen.
  • If you use the webshop we remember which products you have added to the cart. We do this through the use of cookies which remembers such information for thirty days.
  • To remember if you have chosen to consent to our use of cookies on the website and webshop, we use our own cookie and a cookie from OneTrust which gather information about your choice.

If you block/delete these cookies, we cannot remember your choices and will instead show you a version of the website, webshop, app and portal that is not customized for you. In addition, we will need to collect new information when you visit us next time.

The following cookies are only used if you have given us your consent through the Privacy Preferences Center, i.e. they are not strictly essential. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You will see the names and the usage periods for “Performance Cookies” and “Targeting Cookies” on our Privacy Preferences Center.

Performance Cookies (optional)

These cookies count visits and analyze traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site, i.e. to enhance your experience on our website and webshop. They help us to identify the most and least popular pages and understand how visitors move around the site. To improve the website and webshop we use cookies from analytics services, for example Google Analytics. The cookies from all such services use a random ID for your device to distinguish you as a visitor, that way we can recognise patterns in your usage.

The analytics services we use collect information about your encrypted IP address, your location and other information on how you use the website and webshop, e.g. what you click on. The information collected is used to optimize functioning and loading speed as well as to modify the website and webshop to become better adapted to our users. This information is aggregated in an effort to prevent us or our partners from identifying you.

You can avoid cookies from Google Analytics by downloading and installing this browser program.

If you do not allow these cookies or block them, we will not know how you as a visitor use our website and webshop and we will not be able to monitor its performance.

Targeting Cookies (optional)

These cookies are placed on our site by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests. This enables them to show you relevant adverts on other websites and to follow up on such marketing.

This means you will see personalised search results and advertising banners from us based on analysis of how you used the website and other information that our service providers have about you (so-called "profiling"). This information allows us to adapt the website to better suit our users. These cookies do not technically store personal data directly but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device.

On the Meta Account center, under the heading “Ad settings” you can choose which marketing you want to see on Facebook and Instagram. Here you can choose which marketing you want to see on Google.

If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
