GigaPleat panels are high cleanliness products for cleanroom environments, used on top or inside fan filter units, in process equipment or for ceiling applications. They use a media made from adsorbents embedded within a pleated 3 dimensional non-woven structure, to provide removal of molecular contamination.
GigaPleat panel filters are constructed from pleated embedded media assembled in metal or plastic frames, to provide control of molecular contaminants. GigaPleat panels provide high performance and are intended for cleanroom applications, especially in wafer manufacturing, semiconductor, hard disk drive or flat panel display facilities. Filters are available in a range of standard sizes and thicknesses to suit fan filter units, ceilings and process equipment. The panels utilise high quality activated carbon to provide efficiency against volatile organic compounds (VOC), ion exchange resins for bases (especially ammonia) and chemically impregnated activated carbon for acids. Different media may be combined within the same panel to target multiple contaminants. Dopants and refractories are removed with single media or a combination of above media depending on the properties of the molecules. Actual achieved performance will depend on the filter configuration and airflow. GigaPleat panels are tested for outgassing and particle shedding, to fullfill the high cleanliness requirements of cleanroom environments and avoid impairing the lifetime of HEPA and ULPA filters found on the outlet side of fan filter units.
