The molecular media is at the heart of all successful molecular filtration solutions. Camfil have a selection of proven hybrid and blended activated carbon and alumina media to target a wide range of molecular contaminants.
Camfil blends consist of activated carbon mixed with alumina media, typically 50% each by volume, to provide broad spectrum removal of contaminants in filter design which do not allow separate filling of successive media beds. The most common example consists in removing ozone, organic and corrosive contaminants with the same filter. Additionally most Camfil blends are UL certified and therefore qualified for applications where self-ignition and flammability is a concern. Camfil hybrid media are another variation of this concept, with carbon and alumina powders being mixed and pre-formed into spheres. Hybrid media are UL certified and particulary efficient at controlling hydrogen sulfide contamination in heavy duty industrial applications.
