Ambient Air Service: Environmental Assessment

An environmental assessment includes a combination of tools used to reveal a complete picture of your ambient air conditions – including the contaminants from nearby industrial processes, vegetation or transportation. The detailed environmental analysis enables us to identify the root cause on the issues you’re experiencing, and recommend a filtration upgrade or new filtration system that will perform best with the lowest life cycle cost.

  • Reports a complete picture of your environmental site conditions
  • Identify risk to the turbine such as fouling or corrosion and operational risk like short filter life
  • Choose the right filter efficiency
  • Confirm the need to retrofit new filtration or weather protection stages
  • Select the optimal cooling/heating system
  • Select the optimal filtration system for the lowest life cycle cost
  • Select the best location/direction of the air inlet in a given site
  • Enables a root cause analysis of existing issues for an existing site

All gas turbine and turbomachinery applications
Installation options
The Air Monitoring Station installation requirements include:
  • Power source (utility voltage, 120V/240V power)
  • Mounting area 12x12x6 in
  • Non-hazardous/Safe area
  • Cellular/GSM reception required

Hardware features include::

  • 1x dual pressure transmitter to measure pressure on 2x filter stages (IP54 rated, 0-10" w.g.)
  • Particle counter measures PM1, PM2.5, PM10
  • Full set of ambient conditions sensor (temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure)
By combining the data generated from multiple tools, we get a complete picture of your ambient air conditions. This detailed evaluation enables us to conduct a root cause analysis on the issues you’re experiencing at your site.

  • GEM Analysis (Global Environmental Map)
  • Air Monitoring Station
  • Air Sampling: Cassette or Cascade Impactor
  • Site Corrosivity Analysis
  • Life Cycle Cost Analysis
