In the gas turbine of a power plant in east China, Camfil China upgraded its pulse filter and retrofitted the prefilter from panel type to pocket type, new solution have been continuously running for more than 9500EOH, while original solution’s lifetime to pressure drop alarm value is less than 2000EOH, Camfil new product have been proved to have stable pressure drop curve and increase operation stability even under common wet weather in east China.
On the other hand, original prefilters installed in site are very easily to block and pressure drop increased quickly. Camfil recommend them to upgrade to pocket filter with larger filtration areas. Efficiency of prefilter is also changed from G4 to M5. The following operating conditions turns out lifetime extend more 2 times (from less than 2000EOH to 4000EOH) compare to original panel filter with better filtration performance.
Camfil’s solution is always trying to avid fouling, corrosion to customer’s gas turbine and stabilizing output, decreasing heat rate and reducing GHC emissions at the same time.
