Junior Draughtsperson

Air Filtration team.  We are now looking for a Junior Draughtsperson to provide direct support to the existing design and production teams for ongoing and future projects, with the desire to succeed, that shows a real passion for delivery, can work well in a team and is able to represent our Brand in a professional manner. 

Camfil M.C. Air Filtration is a leading specialist manufacturer of high-quality air filter and associated air filtration systems. A part of our business includes client contracts for the manufacture of fabricated assemblies, these systems go into a broad spectrum of facilities, both at home and abroad. The majority of the larger projects are delivered into the nuclear power and bio-containment pharmaceutical sectors

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• Previous experience within a design/technical department
• Production of accurate and detailed general arrangement and fabrication drawings
• Experience of Solidworks, AutoCad and PDM systems
• Ability to use Word and Excel
• Experience of working to and adhering to deadlines and budgets
• Ability to follow technical specifications and customer requirements
• Experience of QA Practices

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• A good knowledge of Sheetmetal Fabrication and welding a distinct advantage.
• Experience of working in a workshop / manufacturing related environment
• Sage Management Software (MRP / ERP for the future)
• Knowledge of the air movement industry
• Ability to communicate with suppliers

Outline Duties will include:

• Production of general arrangement drawings for customers
• Production of fabrication drawings from general arrangement drawings
• Maintain and update existing standard component drawings.
• Assist with resolving design issues as part of the design team
• Attend internal project design meetings
• Production of route cards for fabrication processes.
