HR Manager - Lancashire

We have a requirement for a UK HR Manager to work with the Managing Director and to provide HR support to line managers and staff across the business. The HR Manager will provide a quality HR service to the UK business and in addition assist in implementation of the vision and values of the wider Camfil group.
Based predominantly at our Haslingden production facility, this appointment is a hands-on role and as HR Manager you will adopt a practical approach to your work. Participating in general HR activities as well as recruitment and selection you will also assume full responsibility for employee relations and the delivery of employee support as and when required. There may be a requirement to travel to the production facility in Kent on occasions to support the management team based there.
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that people management and development activity is delivered in the most effective manner possible. You will provide support and advice to Managers and personnel across the business, acting as a role model for the vision and values of the company and displaying a strategic mindset that supports company growth.
Specifically, this will involve:
Driving the HR strategy, both locally and as required by our parent company.
Creating communications that help build employee engagement
Developing HR policies that deliver enhanced performance
Providing people management support
Managing the full employee life cycle including day to day HR operations and administration including:- recruitment and selection, induction and performance reviews, training and development and sickness absence management, return to work interviews, and exit interviews and so on.
Managing all HR documentation including employee handbook, policies and procedures; updating and reviewing them regularly to meet the needs of the Company and to ensure compliance with legislation
Organising and coordinating apprentice training and development initiatives
Assisting in talent management and succession planning processes
Proven HR experience
Experience of assisting Line Managers with all aspects of HR management, providing coaching and practical support as required.
Solid knowledge of employee legislation and its application
A CIPD qualification
Confident personality with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
