Graduate Engineer Placements – North West based

To be considered for this role you will be a graduate from a mechanical, chemical or manufacturing engineering discipline and above all come with a ‘can do’ attitude as this will be a key ingredient to your success. Our graduates work on a range of projects for a variety of clients ensuring real opportunities for personal growth and career progression, whilst we seek someone who can think independently, the ability to work within a team environment is paramount. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and assist the project manager 
  • Base lining project scope, budget and schedules
  • Tracking of projects, budgets and schedules
  • Maintenance and control of projects, budgets and schedules
  • Issue tracking, control and resolution plans
  • Work with global teams to develop and maintain the latest lean technology standards 
  • Assist in project planning activities
  • General administrative duties;
  • Development and maintenance of project documentation and office templates;
  • Development and alignment of internal business systems to the projects office;
  • Internal and external client interaction;
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of work packages for sub-contractors.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Engineering Degree;
  • Ability to learn and develop in a fast-moving environment 
  • Flexible and adaptable to the work environment and changing needs of the business;
  • Excellent organisational skills, communication, technical and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines 
  • Management and prioritisation of own workload and understanding the workload constraints of others;
  • Ability to drive long term innovation and cost saving improvements  
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Advanced MS office skills particularly in excel;
  • Experience within a project environment;
  • Understanding/experience of project planning software (MS Project / Primavera P-6);
  • Motivated, positive, flexible, team player.
  • Willing to work outside of the UK as and when required 

Experience:

  • Project Management within a similar manufacturing environment: 1 year +  (preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline with a minimum 2:1-degree classification
