Continued growth of our business and aggressive goals is leading us to find talented individuals to join our Camfil UK team.  We are looking for an experienced Field Sales Engineer based from home to cover the M4 corridor territory, with the desire to succeed, that shows a real passion for delivery, can work well in a team and is able to represent our Brand in a professional manner. 

Primary Role

The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving sales and generating revenue through professional customer service. Working with current and prospective customers, consultants, specifiers and resellers, to develop mutually beneficial long-term business relationships. This role will involve developing both new and existing business by selling technical solutions in accordance with Camfil's strategy in the assigned sales area.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify current and future customer requirements for Camfil products and services 
  • Present, and sell Camfil products and services to existing and potential customers
  • Build, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Proactively identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycles to close business in all categories
  • Provide product, service, technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Interpretation of drawings plans and related customer documentation
  • Consulting with engineers, architects and other professional and technical personnel to gain a full understanding of customer requirements
  • Proactively resolve customer issues to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • To achieve agreed sales goals and results within the given timeframe and in line with the corporate strategy
  • Create and accurately maintain records of customer and project status
  • Prepare sales forecasts for territory, customers, products and services
  • Regular reporting to management using the available reporting tools
  • To strive for continuous improvement through feedback
  • Cooperate closely across the sales teams and other relevant interfaces to coordinate sales efforts
  • To attend meetings, sales events and training sessions to keep up with the latest developments and best practices
  • Negotiates tender and closes sales within agreed terms and conditions

Qualifications

  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with a structured way of working and a “can do” attitude, dynamic and tenacious
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), interpersonal, time management and team skills
  • Excellent skills in eliminating sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Ability to dynamically alter technical presentations and discussions based on client needs
  • Ability to prepare and deliver detailed product/technical discussions and presentations
  • Analytical, highly organised and driven by success, achievement and recognition with strong negotiating skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity and persuasive confidence
  • High level of discretion, reliability, integrity and resilience
  • High degree of engagement and assertiveness
  • Commercially aware
  • Successfully completed studies or training in the field of mechanical engineering or process engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering and process engineering with a focus on exhaust air cleaning (ideally filtration)
  • Extensive and proven work experience in sales in an industrial company
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as ERP & CRM experience
